Kilimanjaroland Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children involved in our programs, especially within our school feeding initiatives.

1. Our Commitment

We have a zero-tolerance policy toward:

  • Child abuse
  • Exploitation
  • Neglect
  • Harassment

The safety and dignity of every child is our top priority.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Partners
  • Donors visiting project sites
  • Any person representing the foundation

3. Expected Conduct

All individuals must:

  • Treat children with respect and dignity
  • Avoid inappropriate physical or verbal contact
  • Never be alone with a child in a private setting without authorization
  • Not engage in any exploitative or abusive behavior

4. Prohibited Behavior

The following are strictly forbidden:

  • Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
  • Taking inappropriate photos/videos of children
  • Using children for personal or promotional gain without consent
  • Any form of discrimination or harmful conduct

5. Photography & Media

  • Photos of children may only be taken with proper consent
  • Images must be respectful and not exploitative
  • Personal data of children must never be disclosed

6. Reporting Concerns

Any concerns, suspicions, or incidents must be reported immediately to:

7. Response to Violations

Any violation of this policy may result in:

  • Immediate removal from activities
  • Termination of contracts or partnerships
  • Reporting to legal authorities

8. Training & Awareness

We are committed to:

  • Educating staff and volunteers on child protection
  • Promoting awareness across all programs

9. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure effectiveness and compliance with best practices.
