Kilimanjaroland Foundation is the charitable arm of Kilimanjaroland Mountain Events Limited.
We believe tourism should uplift the communities that make Kilimanjaro possible. Every trek organized by Kilimanjaroland helps support programs that feed school children, improve the lives of mountain porters, and support local development initiatives.
Why We Started
While Kilimanjaro attracts thousands of climbers every year, many communities living around the mountain still face serious challenges such as food insecurity in schools, difficult working conditions for porters, and limited resources for community development.
Kilimanjaroland Foundation was created to help address these challenges and ensure that tourism directly benefits the local people.
Our Vision
To build a Kilimanjaro community where every child is nourished, every porter is supported, and sustainable development empowers local families.
Mission
To improve lives in the Kilimanjaro region through school feeding programs, support Kilimanjaro porters and community development and empowerment initiatives.
